This website is provided by Mindfully Aware Limited (“Mindfully Aware”).  The privacy of our website users and the security of their personal information is very important to us.  For your convenience, this website contains links to several other websites, both inside and outside Mindfully Aware ltd.  The privacy policies and procedures described here do not apply to those sites; we suggest contacting those sites directly for information on their data collections and distribution policies.

Mindfully Aware have prepared this policy for you to understand how and why we handle personal data.  Under the General Data Protection Regulations, we are a “data controller”, as we collect and use personal data.

The purpose of this privacy policy is to set out the principles governing our use of personal information that we may obtain about you.  By using the websites you agree to this use. We ask you to read this privacy policy carefully.  Any dispute which may arise over privacy will be subject to this policy, the data protection notice (if any) incorporated into this website and the provisions of English law.  We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Who we are?

Mindfully aware Limited is a small business based in Yateley providing Mindfulness and Mental  Health First Aid training .  We are committed to conducting our business to the highest professional industry standards.

Personal information collection and use

Mindfully Aware will only collect personally identifiable data,  when it is voluntarily given to one of the trainers or submitted to us at this website. The information is used to make contact with the individual about mindfulness and Mental Health First Aid events. People will be offered the option to sign up to our newsletter service, and we will email those who do from time to time to advise of our activities and of other related activities that may be of interest.

The collection and use of sensitive personal data will be used in strict accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and EU Directive on Data Protection 95/46 EC and other relevant legislation.

From time to time, we may refer to that information to better understand your needs and how we can improve our services.

The information contained in e-mail transmissions from Mindfully Aware is confidential, may be privileged and intended for the addressee(s) only. If you are not an addressee, any use, dissemination, distribution, publication, or copying of the information contained within any e-mail is strictly prohibited. If you have received an e-mail in error, please disregard it immediately.

These emails may have attachments which could contain software viruses that could damage your computer system. Whilst every reasonable precaution has been taken to minimise this risk, we cannot accept liability for any damage which you sustain as a result of software viruses. You should therefore carry out your own virus checks before opening the attachment.

Data Security

We take great care to ensure your personal details are protected against the potential for malicious intrusion, for both stored and transmitted data.

Personal data, including sensitive data, for our clients is stored on a home PC and external hard drive for back-up.  We use AVG, password protection on the PC and excel spreadsheets.  The PC  and hard drive are both kept in a residential alarmed property that is also protected with cameras.  Secure means an alarmed building with cameras.

We use Mail Chimp to contact people who have signed up to read our newsletters.  The only information held here are names and email addresses.  You can read their privacy statement here.

Will the data be shared with any third parties?

Personal data is available to Mindfully Aware’s owner only for routine processing. and is not shared unless permission is given by the owner of the data.

The emergency contact details will be shared with emergency respondents if the need arises.

GDPR – What rights does the data subject have?

We will delete data about an individual on request from the subject of the data, unless there is some legal obligation to retain that data.  We will check with you every 3 years to ensure you are happy for us to keep this data.

  • The right to rectification – right for individuals to have inaccurate personal data rectified, or completed if it is incomplete
