Mindfulness for Kids incorporates the Relax Kids programme for children aged 4 to 13.

During the course your child/ren (and you, if you want) will be encouraged to take part in various activities that have been designed as part of a 7 step programme. This helps them to develop skills and techniques to improve concentration, listening skills, attention span, confidence and self-esteem.

We believe that if children can learn how to be calm under pressure, and be mindful from an early age, it will help them to deal with the pressures of adulthood.

This Course Teaches the Children

  • How to relax
  • Relate to stress/anxiety so that they do not become overwhelmed
  • Develop their self confidence
  • Manage their moods or emotions
  • Self soothe 
  • Manage stress and anxiety
  • Improve their sleep

Home Practice

This is up to the child and you.  We encourage the children to keep a treasure box/bag into which they can place items that make them feel good or remind them of situations of when they felt calm.  They may want to listen to one of the bedtime stories to help them sleep.  There are many resources avaialbe on the Relax Kids website that you either download for free or buy.
