Introduction To Mindfulness

INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS

This course is run in partnership with the Yateley Adult Learning Centre and is discounted by Hampshire County Council

It is for anyone who wants to learn a few mindfulness practices to help manage stress/anxiety that comes with modern life.  This course is only a short introduction to mindfulness and will give you a taste of how mindfulness can help.  As with all our courses they are secular (non-religious, non-spiritual)

During the course you will be shown, and given the opportunity to practice:

  • How to approach Stress and Stressful situations a different way.
  • How your body reacts to stress.
  • Stress management techniques

As with any new set of skills practice is essential. in order to gain the full benefits recommend regular daily practice, therefore we will suggest that you to do two 10 minute meditations each day.

The more you put in, the more you will get out!

Please Note

This course is designed to be a mindfulness taster and will only touch upon a few techniques.  If you suffer with stress, anxiety or mild depression we recommend that you complete an 8 week mindfulness course.  These courses have been written based on scientific research and have been proven over many years to deliver benefits.
